Aaron
W. Hendry, Owner and President.
A fourth-generation Floridian, Mr. Hendry was born and raised into the
dredging and marine construction industry.
He learned the business first-hand, beginning in his mid-teens as
deckhand on a company tug, working his way up through the ranks as a boatman,
dump foreman, mate, and leverman. Aaron
has a Civil Engineering degree from Georgia Tech, holds an MBA from the
University of Tampa, is a Registered Professional Engineer, and a member of
the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Florida Engineering Society.
Joseph
F. Cimino, General Manager and Corporate Secretary.
Mr. Cimino has been active in the ship repair and marine construction
industry for the past 30 years. He has held various positions in the
organization during his tenure with the company, starting at the grass roots
level to his current position. Mr. Cimino holds a B.S. degree in Accounting
from the University of Tampa. Mr.
Cimino has supervised numerous U.S. Coast Guard drydocking and repair
contracts.
Larry
P. Chapman, Contracts
Manager. Larry began his career as a Marine Biologist involved
with environmental monitoring. Larry
holds a B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina.
He has over 30 years experience in project management of ship repair
and marine construction projects, including several projects for FDOT.
Has a current license as Certified General Contractor with State of
Florida and is recognized as a Professional Safety Engineer with the American
Society of Safety Engineers. Mr.
Chapman has served as Project Manager on numerous Coast Guard and Army vessel
repair contracts.
Duke
Rogers, Shipyard Superintendent.
Duke has over 40 years experience in all phases of ship repairs and
conversion. He is knowledgeable
in welding standards, piping systems, and most systems involved in drydocking
and repair of vessels.
Gary
Hixon, Asst. Shipyard Manager.
Gary has many years experience in all phases of welding and steel
fabrication. Gary has supervised
construction of many steel barges and other fabrications projects.
Vic
DeLeenheer, Sales and Dockside Estimating.
Vic has credentials in ship repair operations – sandblasting and tank
cleaning. He has worked in several shipyards that have been involved
with ship conversion. Has worked
as Chief Estimator, Manager of Marketing, and Operations Manager.
Michael
Raymond, Chief Estimator. Over
30 years experience in Ship Repair and Estimating.
Past employers have included Braswell Shipyard in Panama, Tampa Ship
Repair, Woodshole Oceanographic, International Ship Repair, Corrosion Control
Specialists. Member of Society of
Naval Architects and Marine Engineers.
Steve
Baker, Drydock
Foreman. Steve has supervised the
drydocking of numerous military and commercial vessels, up to over 200’ in
size. Experienced in docking
procedures for model bow tugs to flat bottom barges.
Has expertise in sandblasting and painting systems.
Rudy
Romero, Ship’s
Supervisor and Machinists Foreman. Rudy
has over 20 years experience in
all phases of machine shop operations as well as servicing shafts, mechanical
seals, and rudders of both commercial and military vessels.
Certified in shaft alignments and stabilizer fin refurbishing.
Jonathan
Ferguson, Safety & Environmental
Engineer. Jonathan has served in many roles throughout his 16
year career with Hendry Corporation, logging several years as the Shipyard
Safety Director. Jonathan expertise is in environmental safety
regulations and policies which encompasses hazardous workplace conditions
and/or protecting employees by guarding, revising work procedures, and
training to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal
and state occupational
safety and health regulations. He is also Certified as Shipyard Competent
Person and Visible Emissions Evaluator. Has credentials in computer
systems management and programming. First Aid/AED (CPR)
certified. Confined Space, Respirator Fitting, Hazardous Communication
Training.
